MEET OUR DOCTORS
WELCOME TO WYCLIFFE SURGERY
Wycliffe Surgery is a long established practice; our aim is to provide excellent healthcare with our friendly, caring team of health professionals.
Our multidisciplinary team consists of Doctors, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Phlebotomists, Receptionists, Office Staff and a Practice Manager all playing important roles. We work closely with other team members such as Midwives, Health Visitors, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Distric Nurses, Macmillan Nurses, Social Workers and the hospital teams.
Doctor Rajendra Patel
Dr Rajendra Patel trained and qualified in Zambia in 1982. He carried on his GP training in Devon and works as a salaried GP at Wycliffe.
Interested in Care of the Elderly and General Practice.
Currently in the process of designing apps for iphone, ipad and android phones to provide medical database information for both patient and doctors.
Doctor Christian Gossel
Dr Christian Gossel trained at Medical University Aix La Chapelle/Aachen, Germany. Surgical jobs followed in ENT, Vascular surgery, A&E and General Surgery.
Postgraduate training at Cambridge Deanery, including Psychiatry, Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Paediatrics. Joined Wycliffe surgery and became a partner in 2011.
Interested in Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Endoscopy, Care of the Elderly and Teaching students.
Special interests at Wycliffe include: Minor Surgery, all contraception coil/implant insertion and removal and joint injections.
Doctor Gillian Eadie
Dr Gillian Eadie trained at Middlesex Hospital Medical School, London, qualifying in 1981. Worked in hospital medicine until 1987. Completed GP training in 1989 and worked part time in Community Health, Oncology and locum GP posts. Became a partner at Wycliffe Surgery in 2002.
Interested in Homeopathy, Oncology and General Medicine.
Special interests at Wycliffe Surgery include: Contraception and homeopathy.
Doctor Julia Beresford
Dr Julia Beresford trained at Southampton medical school, qualifying in 1987. Hospital jobs included Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, A&E and Geriatric medicine. GP training was with Dr Biggs at Wycliffe Surgery in 1991 and has worked as a full time GP ever since.
Interested in all aspects of General Practice Care.
Responsibilities at Wycliffe Surgery include: Being Senior Partner, Drug addiction therapy prescribing, practice prescribing lead, Quality framework lead and compiling the practice newsletter.
